Redefining Camouflage!!

Team Camo Gear is ready for football season!  I know it’s a little early, but before you know it you’ll be watching your favorite college team take on their first opponent of the season.  For Ohio State Buckeye fans, the question on everyone’s mind:  Who will be the starting quarterback to replace the 2006 Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith?  Guess we’ll have to wait until the end of August to find out. 

 

Team Camo Gear is on its way to “Tailgate Training Camp” to be held near the Dallas Cowboys Training Camp in San Antonio Texas on August 4^th, 2007.  This event is being sponsored by the American Tailgate Association (www.atatailgate.com).  There will be live music, a tailgate cook-off, product sampling, giveaways, cooking demonstrations, and more.  The day’s festivities will take place at Sunset Station in St. Paul Square, San Antonio, Texas.  We hope to take some pictures while at the event and post them to the blog.  We’ll be taking plenty of blue and gray camouflage to the show for all those Dallas Cowboy fans!

 

If you can make it down, the ATA is also sponsoring a "Pre-Season Tailgate Challenge” to be held in the parking lot at Sunset Station at the south end of Hoefgen Street near the Alamodome.  Tailgate teams of up to 8 team members from across the region will set up their tailgating parties and showcase their skills to be judged by national tailgating experts. Categories to be judged include Team Pride, Best Food and Most Original Tailgate Party. 1st place team will be awarded $500 cash prize and a trophy recognizing them as Pre-Season Tailgate Challenge Champions, 2nd place team will be awarded $250 cash prize and trophy, and 3rd prize will win $100 cash prize and trophy. Parking spaces are limited. The Pre-Season Tailgate Challenge parking lot is open from 6:00AM to 8:30AM for tailgate teams to set up. Judging takes place from 10:30AM –12:30PM. Awards will be announced at Sunset Station Pavilion at 1:00PM.  Hope to see you there!
